To get straight to the point: the information about the churchyard of Blija is not complete. We have not succeeded in getting a hold on the register of 1914 - 1940 which seems to be lost and gone forever. Also our efforts to obtain a copy of the register 1941 to present as well as a map of the churchyard have been in vain sofar. As soon as we will get this information available you’ll be the first to know, of course.

What we do have:
- the register 1831 - 1913
- a picture of the gravestone of ca. 350 deceased.

The register shows the names of ca. 2000 individuals. We are very grateful to the Streekarchivariaat of Dongeradeel in Dokkum for their kind cooperation in putting this register available and to Imkje Visser for transcribing it.
The pictures of the gravestones were taken by Klaas Leen, supporter from the beginning, and for reason of privacy show only those who were born before the year 1900.
